Chapter 01 · 10 questions
Start with the idea.
What the magazine is, why it exists, and where it fits.
What is an EAF Venue Magazine?
A custom print and digital wedding-planning magazine built around one specific venue. It brings together the venue’s story, spaces, photography, practical information, planning guidance, preferred vendors, and relevant business advertising. Couples get one useful resource to explore, keep, share, and revisit.
How is it different from a general wedding magazine?
The venue is the starting point. Instead of covering an entire wedding market in one generic publication, each magazine reflects a particular place, its brand, location, spaces, policies, and planning experience. Businesses choose the venue context they want to appear in.
What problem does it solve for venues?
Creating polished guides, updating venue details, preparing tour materials, and following up with inquiries all take time and money. EAF organizes that information into a coordinated publication designed around the venue, with a digital edition for sharing and printed editions when production requirements are met.
What problem does it solve for businesses?
Reaching people is only part of advertising. The harder part is reaching relevant people while they are comparing options and making decisions. An EAF placement puts a business beside venue and planning content couples may return to as they assemble their wedding team and plan their next chapter.
Is this a brochure, a directory, or a magazine?
It is a magazine. Venue information and editorial-style planning content create the reason to read it; business features and advertisements provide relevant next steps. It can serve some of the practical purposes of a venue brochure or vendor guide, but the publication is designed as a complete resource.
What does the finished magazine contain?
The standard format is a custom 100-page publication, generally planned around roughly 75 pages of venue and planning content and 25 pages of advertising. Content can include venue stories, spaces, getting-ready areas, FAQs, logistics, photography, preferred vendors, and useful local resources. The final mix depends on approved content and production planning.
Who is the magazine for?
Couples researching venues, touring a property, comparing options, booking their wedding, and building their vendor team. It can also help partners, family members, and planners understand the venue and the decisions still ahead.
Does EAF replace a website, social media, or other marketing?
It adds a coordinated resource to those channels. Share the digital magazine through your website, emails, social posts, and follow-up messages. For advertisers, the publication can support an existing marketing plan while your website, reviews, portfolio, and response process help turn interest into inquiries.
Does a placement mean the venue guarantees or endorses a business?
Advertising is a paid placement, subject to review and fit. It does not automatically make a business an exclusive vendor, a preferred vendor, or a guaranteed venue recommendation. Preferred-vendor relationships are determined by the venue.
Can EAF guarantee bookings or return on investment?
No. EAF provides publication design, placement, and a relevant distribution context. Results depend on venue activity, actual distribution, business fit, creative quality, pricing, reputation, availability, and follow-up. No lead, booking, or revenue outcome is guaranteed.
Chapter 02 · 9 questions
How the model works.
Who contributes, who pays, and why print has a production threshold.
How can the venue program cost $0?
Approved advertising placements support the publication. The participating venue contributes its information, brand assets, photography, feedback, and distribution. EAF handles the publication’s creative work and production coordination under the venue program.
Who pays, and what are they paying for?
Advertisers pay for approved space in selected venue magazines. They are purchasing a specific placement and publication context, rather than paying for a promised number of bookings. Venue participation and the creation of portal accounts are separate from paid advertising.
What does EAF do in the partnership?
EAF organizes submitted content, develops the publication, designs the magazine, integrates approved advertiser materials, publishes the approved digital edition, coordinates updates, and manages print planning. Venues and businesses supply accurate information and approve their respective content.
Why does the digital edition launch before print?
A digital edition can be shared once the necessary content, design, revisions, and approvals are complete. Physical printing also requires sufficient paid advertising support and completed production requirements. A digital launch does not promise an immediate print run.
What triggers a print edition?
The venue magazine must meet its required paid-advertising threshold, have production-ready content and advertiser materials, and complete the applicable approvals. Ask EAF about the current threshold and status for your chosen venue before relying on a particular print date. Photographer galleries are not counted toward the paid-ad-page production minimum.
What happens if there is not enough advertising to print?
The approved digital edition can continue to circulate while advertiser support develops. The publication remains digital-only until print requirements are met. Advertisers’ print credits are not deducted for a digital-only quarter.
Is the program available to every venue and business?
Participation is reviewed individually. Venue fit includes brand alignment, content availability, distribution potential, advertiser opportunity, and production capacity. Advertiser fit includes relevance to couples, venue alignment, category availability, and approved creative. Creating an account does not guarantee acceptance.
Is EAF selling a list of engaged couples?
An advertising placement puts your message in a publication shared with couples. It does not include a couple contact list or permission to send unsolicited messages. Interested readers can choose to contact your business through your published information, links, or QR code.
Is the magazine still useful if a couple chooses another venue?
It can be. Planning questions, vendor information, inspiration, travel ideas, dining, and other local resources may remain useful. That possibility is part of the publication’s value, but it is not a promise that every recipient will keep or read every edition.
Chapter 03 · 16 questions
For venue owners & teams.
Your input, your brand, your approval, and the work EAF handles.
What does an approved venue pay?
Participating venues pay $0 for the standard venue magazine program. Advertiser support funds the publication. Your team’s contribution is accurate content, usable brand assets and photos, timely review, and sharing the finished materials with couples. Any request outside the standard program should be discussed with EAF before proceeding.
How do we get started?
Create your free venue account, verify your email, complete signup, and accept the current venue agreement. Your account remains pending until reviewed and activated. Then use your portal to prepare the information and assets for your magazine.
What happens when we enter our website in the portal?
The system scans available website content to collect venue information and brand details such as colors, logos, and awards. Treat the scan as a first draft: review what it found, correct inaccuracies, and add anything missing. Private, inaccessible, image-only, or out-of-date content may need to be added manually.
What information should our venue provide?
Your story, location and contact details, spaces, capacity, packages or pricing you want published, policies, amenities, FAQs, logistics, preferred vendors, and other practical information couples need. Include accurate details for each space and flag seasonal or package-specific differences.
Do we need a brand kit or new photography?
Start with what you already have. Upload your logo, brand colors, fonts or approved font information, brand guide if available, and venue photography you have permission to use. Missing assets can be discussed with the team; the program does not automatically include a new photo shoot or a complete rebrand.
How should we organize our photos?
Group images by spaces, features, seasons, and purpose. Useful groups include getting-ready rooms, ceremony sites, reception sites, special features, maps, logos, and seasonal cover choices. Clear organization helps the design team choose images that explain the venue, not just decorate the page.
Who designs the magazine?
Our design team uses your venue information, brand kit, photography, and custom content to create the publication. You do not need to design the entire magazine yourself. Our team handles the layout and production preparation; your team provides accurate content and feedback.
Do we approve it before publication?
Yes. Your venue reviews its information and the overall publication, requests corrections, and approves the edition before distribution. Verify pricing, capacities, policies, names, contacts, permissions, and important logistical details rather than assuming the website scan captured everything perfectly.
Can we control or change our venue content?
You control your venue information and submit updates through your portal. EAF handles the magazine’s layout and publication process. Editing a portal field is not the same as instantly changing every published digital or printed copy; changes must move through the applicable review and production cycle.
How do quarterly updates work?
Use each quarter to refresh photos, packages, policies, FAQs, and seasonal details. Keep your portal current and submit changes ahead of production deadlines. The venue program currently asks for updates 30 days before the next print cycle. Ask the team about urgent corrections to an already published digital edition.
Can we include our preferred vendors?
Yes. Provide a current list, website links, a PDF, or business details through the portal. Preferred vendors receive the first opportunity to participate in advertising. A place on your preferred-vendor list is separate from purchasing a paid advertisement and remains subject to publication planning.
Can we object to an advertiser that does not fit our venue?
Raise the concern with EAF or use the portal’s available advertiser-review tools. Your venue has a voice in brand and audience alignment. Final placement also depends on EAF review, program terms, and inventory. Do not assume that every applicant is automatically accepted.
Can a venue earn referral income?
The venue program described on our venue page offers a 20% commission on advertisers the venue directly refers into its own magazine. Confirm eligibility, attribution, and payment arrangements with EAF under your participation terms before quoting or relying on a referral payment.
Do we have to sell ads or manage print production ourselves?
EAF coordinates advertiser participation and production. Your relationships and introductions can help create a relevant community around your venue, but your primary contributions are your venue content, feedback, and distribution. You do not need to lay out the magazine or arrange a print run yourself.
How can the magazine improve our client experience?
Share one consistent resource before a tour, use it to support conversations during a visit, and leave couples with something they can revisit afterward. Clear venue details and planning guidance can help couples prepare better questions and share the information with the people involved in their decision.
What if our venue is new, small, seasonal, or not approved yet?
You can request consideration. Explain your audience, wedding activity, content readiness, and distribution plans. EAF reviews each venue individually; there is no published promise that a particular size, booking volume, or property type will automatically qualify.
Chapter 04 · 8 questions
From inquiry to planning table.
Digital sharing, print cycles, deadlines, and what distribution actually means.
Where can a venue share the digital edition?
In inquiry replies, tour confirmations, follow-up emails, its website, QR materials, social channels, and communication with booked couples. The venue decides how to integrate the publication into its client experience; digital availability alone does not mean every inquiry has received it.
Who receives printed copies?
Printed editions are intended for the venue’s distribution process, including tours and other relevant couple interactions. Quantities and use should reflect the venue’s needs and the approved production plan. EAF does not promise that every inquiry will receive a printed copy.
How many copies or couples are guaranteed?
There is no universal guaranteed audience or print quantity for every venue. Wedding activity, inquiry volume, tours, booking patterns, and how consistently the venue shares the publication all affect circulation. Ask about the selected venue’s current distribution plan, and distinguish estimated reach from documented delivery.
When are the quarterly print cycles?
The program plans around January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 cycles. Participation in a particular cycle depends on advertiser support, materials, approvals, and production readiness. A cycle date is not a guarantee of a specific delivery day for every venue.
When should updates and ad materials be submitted?
Plan to have updates and advertising materials ready at least 30 days before the intended quarterly cycle. A late submission may move to a later edition. Follow the specific deadline shown in your order, portal, or production communication; ask before assuming a last-minute change can be accommodated.
Can couples share or keep the magazine?
The digital edition is designed to be easy to share, and the printed edition is a take-home resource. Couples may revisit the planning information with their partner, family, planner, or vendors. The publication’s usefulness encourages repeat reference, without guaranteeing that every reader will return to it.
Can the magazine stay useful after the wedding?
Yes, when the content is relevant. Dining, travel, home services, wellness, and other local resources can give couples reasons to revisit it beyond wedding planning. Advertisers should offer a clear benefit that fits the audience rather than assuming marriage automatically creates a need for every service.
How quickly will our magazine or advertisement go live?
Timing depends on account activation, complete content, usable images, design work, revisions, approvals, and production scheduling. Ask EAF about readiness and the next realistic release opportunity. Creating an account, uploading an ad, or paying an invoice does not by itself publish the material immediately.
Chapter 05 · 9 questions
For wedding professionals.
A useful place to meet couples while they assemble their team.
Which wedding businesses can participate?
Relevant professionals may apply, including planners, photographers, videographers, DJs and musicians, florists, caterers, beauty teams, rentals, transportation, attire, lodging, and other wedding services. Approval depends on business fit, venue alignment, inventory, and publication needs.
Why advertise around a specific venue?
The venue gives your message a concrete planning context. Choose places that fit your service area, style, capacity, and the kind of work you want to book. An advertisement can introduce your business beside useful venue information even when the reader has not started searching for your category yet.
Do we have to be one of the venue’s preferred vendors?
Not automatically. Preferred vendors receive an early opportunity to participate, but other relevant businesses can apply where space and alignment allow. Paid advertising does not create preferred-vendor status; that relationship is controlled by the venue.
Does a placement guarantee that we can work at that venue?
No. A venue may have requirements for insurance, licensing, approved vendors, catering, or other services. Check those requirements directly. Advertising does not override venue policies, reserve dates, or guarantee access to a property.
Can we choose a venue or advertise in several magazines?
You can request the venue magazines that fit your business. Each placement depends on available space, category limits, alignment, and approval. Multi-venue advertising is separate inventory in each publication; one approved placement does not reserve your category everywhere.
Is our category exclusive?
No automatic exclusivity is promised. The program limits category competition, generally to no more than three paid advertisers in the same wedding-vendor category per venue magazine. The available sizes and positions depend on current inventory. Confirm the actual category status before purchasing.
What if our category is full or our business provides several services?
Ask about another venue, future availability, or the appropriate category for your main offer. Tell EAF what you actually provide so your placement can be reviewed accurately. Category names cannot be used as a workaround to promise more inventory or exclusivity than the publication allows.
What should a wedding vendor’s ad say?
Show the work and service couples can expect, identify the business clearly, and give one useful next step. A strong portfolio image, concise benefit, service area, contact path, and relevant QR destination are often more helpful than crowding the ad with every package, social profile, and claim.
What are photographer galleries?
A gallery is a distinct photographer placement that presents a curated collection of work across magazine pages. It differs from a standard display ad in layout, asset needs, and available inventory. Discuss venue relevance, image rights, specifications, and current gallery availability with EAF. Galleries do not count toward the paid-ad-page print minimum.
Chapter 06 · 8 questions
For local & life-stage businesses.
Find a relevant connection to the lives couples are building.
Can a business advertise if it is not a wedding vendor?
Yes, when its offer is useful to engaged or newly married couples. Examples include restaurants, experiences, travel, home services, real estate, mortgage, insurance, financial services, fitness, and wellness. Relevance and venue alignment matter; participation is individually reviewed.
Why would engaged couples care about our business?
Wedding planning can overlap with travel, hosting visitors, celebrations, moving, household purchases, and everyday local experiences. Explain the specific need your business serves. A restaurant might offer rehearsal-dinner options; a travel business might help with a honeymoon; a home service might support a move or a shared household.
How do we choose a venue that fits our audience?
Consider location, service radius, price positioning, audience fit, and whether you can serve the couples and families connected to that venue. Request current venue options and ask about distribution. A nearby venue is not automatically the right fit for every business.
Can restaurants, lodging, and experiences reach guests as well as couples?
They may, especially when couples share planning information with family or out-of-town guests. Build the offer around a real use such as welcome gatherings, accommodation, or local activities. The magazine does not guarantee a separate guest distribution list or a fixed number of guest readers.
Are local-business categories limited too?
Inventory remains limited and subject to category review. The program also limits relevant wedding-adjacent categories; it does not promise automatic exclusivity. Confirm the assigned category and available positions for each venue magazine before ordering.
Should our ad look like a wedding ad?
It should fit the audience while still looking like your business. Use your own branding and imagery, explain a useful benefit, and connect it to a relevant moment in the couple’s life. You do not need to add wedding imagery when it does not help explain the offer.
Do we need to offer a discount?
No general discount promise is required by the concept. A clear reason to contact you can be an offer, a useful service, a consultation, a planning resource, or a strong introduction. Any promotion should have accurate terms, dates, exclusions, and a reliable way to respond.
Can regional businesses participate or suggest a venue?
You may apply if you can serve the audience connected to the venue, even when you are not located next door. You can also suggest a venue for EAF to consider. A suggestion does not guarantee that a new magazine will be created or that advertising space will become available.
Chapter 07 · 12 questions
Placements, payment & print credits.
Understand the order before choosing how to pay.
How does an advertiser get started?
Create your free advertiser account, verify your email, complete the business information and required agreements, and follow the account-review process. Prepare your creative or request design support, choose available venue placements, and submit your order for review. Advertising is a separate paid purchase.
Which advertisement sizes can we request?
The advertiser page outlines quarter-page, half-page, full-page, inside-cover, two-page-spread, and photographer-gallery options. Availability differs by venue and category. Premium positions and galleries have limited inventory; an option shown on the pricing page is not a promise that every venue has it open.
Where do we find prices and payment options?
See the redesigned advertiser pricing section for the current published options. The program offers annual, quarterly, and monthly payment choices. Review the approved order and invoice for your exact venue, placement, price, discounts, and commitment before paying.
Is monthly payment a one-month advertising campaign?
No. Monthly and quarterly options are ways of paying for the annual advertising commitment, rather than automatically buying a cancellable one-month or one-quarter campaign. The advertised program uses a 12-month commitment. Read the cancellation and renewal terms in your current agreement before ordering.
What is a print credit?
A print credit represents participation in a printed quarterly edition for the associated placement. An initial annual purchase and each annual renewal include four print credits. Credits belong to the purchased placement; advertising in multiple venues creates separate placement and credit records.
When is a credit used?
A print credit is deducted when the placement participates in a printed edition. A digital-only quarter does not deduct a print credit. The passage of a quarter is different from actual print production, so the number of printed editions can differ from the calendar quarters elapsed.
What if print does not happen during our annual term?
The approved digital placement can still be shared, and digital-only quarters do not consume print credits. Ask EAF how your remaining credits, ongoing digital placement, renewal, and any delayed print participation are handled under the current order and agreement. Do not assume that a credit balance automatically changes every contract term.
Are discounts available?
Preferred-vendor and multi-placement eligibility may affect pricing, subject to review and current program terms. The approved invoice determines the discount actually applied. Do not assume that every promotion stacks or that a discount guarantees an available category position.
Does choosing a placement or paying reserve it immediately?
An order must complete the required review, approval, payment, and activation steps. Publication also depends on approved materials and production readiness. Confirm the placement status in your portal and with EAF instead of assuming an account signup or draft selection has reserved inventory.
How do cancellation, renewal, refunds, and unused credits work?
These are controlled by the current advertiser agreement and approved order. Review the commitment, cancellation notice, renewal timing, payment obligations, and credit treatment before purchasing. Contact EAF for clarification or a written answer about your specific order; this FAQ does not create a separate cancellation or refund policy.
Can we change venues, sizes, or transfer credits later?
Ask EAF before making that change. A different venue, category, size, or premium position requires availability, review, and any applicable billing adjustment. A credit balance does not automatically reserve an equivalent placement elsewhere or approve a transfer.
Does advertising automatically include a directory listing or extra promotion?
Check the confirmed inclusions for your order. Directory visibility, features, and additional promotion depend on the relevant platform, eligibility, availability, and current terms. The core offering described here is placement in selected venue magazines; do not assume unlisted extras are guaranteed.
Chapter 08 · 11 questions
Creative, approvals & measuring results.
From usable assets to an ad couples can act on.
Can we upload a finished advertisement?
Yes, if it meets the production specifications for the selected placement. Check the size, resolution, bleed, safe area, fonts, image rights, links, QR code, and contact information. Use the specifications supplied for your order; a social-media graphic is not automatically print-ready.
What if we do not have an ad design?
You can use the AI Ad Studio described in the current advertiser flow to create a draft from your business information, copy, and images, then review it before submission. You can also ask about design support. Confirm any separate design charges and what revisions are included before requesting additional work.
What assets help create a good advertisement?
A clear business name and logo, usable brand information, high-quality images, a concise message, accurate contact details, and one primary destination. For design support, add the service or offer you want promoted and any required terms. Upload images and fonts you have permission to use.
Who approves the advertisement and magazine?
You review your own business information and creative. EAF reviews suitability and production readiness, and the venue reviews the overall publication and alignment. Submission does not bypass those approvals, and a request for revisions may be needed before activation or release.
Can we update the ad between editions?
Submit replacement creative or changes before the relevant production deadline. Updates require review and may involve design fees depending on the work requested. An edited portal field or uploaded file does not automatically replace an already printed advertisement.
How do QR codes and digital links help?
They give interested readers a clear route to your website, inquiry form, portfolio, booking information, or offer. Choose a mobile-friendly destination that explains the next step. Test it before approval and keep it working throughout the placement; the QR code is only as useful as the page it leads to.
How can we measure whether the placement is helping?
Use a dedicated landing page or tracking link, a venue-specific QR destination, an offer code, and an inquiry-source question. Track qualified inquiries, booked work, and revenue alongside costs. Print sharing, later searches, and word of mouth can complicate attribution, so a scan count alone is not the full result.
What if people view our ad but do not inquire?
Review the audience fit, offer, creative, destination, and response process. Make sure the service is relevant, the business is recognizable, and the next step is obvious. Advertising may support awareness without producing immediate inquiries, and repeated publication is not a substitute for a useful offer.
Can we use photos, client images, trademarks, or fonts found online?
Only provide assets you have the necessary permission to use and publish. A photo appearing on your website or social account does not automatically establish publication rights. Confirm permissions with the rights holder and flag any restrictions, credit requirements, or limited uses to EAF.
Does AI replace checking the content?
No. Website scans and AI-generated drafts need human review. Verify names, claims, prices, awards, service descriptions, image accuracy, links, and offer terms. Generated imagery should not misrepresent your actual venue, product, work, or client experience.
Can we advertise financial, health, or other regulated services?
Relevant businesses can request review, but publication does not remove their own professional and advertising requirements. Provide accurate approved claims and any necessary disclosures, and have qualified reviewers check content when required for your business. EAF placement is not approval of a particular claim or service.
Chapter 09 · 8 questions
Accounts, support & next steps.
Where the work happens and how to get an answer for your situation.
Is a portal account free?
Yes. Creating a venue or advertiser account is free. Venue participation is individually reviewed, and advertising placements are a separate paid purchase. Signup is the starting point for preparing information and requesting participation, not a guarantee of publication.
Why does our account say Pending?
Email verification, required information and agreements, and EAF’s activation process are part of onboarding. Pending means the account has not yet completed approval and activation. If you believe everything is complete, contact the team with the account email and business name.
Can the venue and advertiser use the same signup path?
Use the account type that matches the work you need to do: a venue account prepares a venue’s publication, while an advertiser account prepares business information, creative, and placement requests. If you operate both, ask EAF how to handle the roles for your business.
What happens inside the portal?
Venues manage venue information, the brand kit, photos and files, custom content, updates, and messages. Advertisers manage business information, creative, placement requests, and the applicable order and status information. Your available tools depend on your account role and activation status.
What if the website scan misses information or our upload fails?
Review the result, add missing content manually where available, and report the issue with the relevant page, file type, and error message. Do not assume a scan failure means the venue or business is ineligible. Avoid repeatedly replacing accurate content while trying to fix an unrelated upload issue.
How do we ask about a specific venue, category, or unusual request?
Tell EAF your business or venue name, location, what you want to achieve, and the publication or category you are considering. Use the contact options below or your portal messages for account-specific work. The team can explain fit, availability, and the next useful step.
What should we do next if we are a venue?
Create your free venue account, verify your email, and prepare your existing website, brand information, photos, and preferred-vendor details. Review the venue program page if you want to see the process and responsibilities first.
What should we do next if we are a business?
Choose the type of venue audience you want to reach, review the advertiser page, and create your free advertiser account. Prepare your business information and creative, then ask about current category and placement availability before committing.
